Introduction

The Australian fauna of Asiracinae is endemic at the species level with three genera recognised. The species are long-legged with a toothless awl-shaped hind tibial spur. The Asiracinae was regarded by Asche (1985) as being a remnant group of the early history of the Delphacidae and was divided into two tribes, the Asiracini and the Ugyopini by Fennah (1979). All the recognised Australian fauna belongs to the Ugyopini.

Diagnosis

Hind tibial spur awl-shaped, not flattened but rounded in cross-section, without teeth.
