Distribution
Extra Distribution Information
Common and quite widely distributed around the New Zealand EEZ, from Cavalli Seamount off North Cape, to Hikurangi Plateau and Margin, off the east coast of the North Island, to the Graveyard Seamounts Complex on the northern edge of the Chatham Rise that extends east from the South Island. It has also been found in the Australia EEZ around Macquarie Island, on Macquarie Ridge that runs southwards from the southwest of New Zealand (Kelly & Vacelet 2011).
