The syntypes of R. submarginata Walker came from "Silhet and Ceylon". Holloway (1976) made it clear that many of the species in this genus cannot be identified without a thorough revision. Edwards (1996) determined that no names are available for Australian specimens nor is it possible at present to determine if the Australian species occur in New Guinea or have been named from New Guinea)
