Introduction
Main (1977), placed Arbanitis montanus Rainbow & Pulleine, 1918 in synonymy with Dyarcyops fuscipes (Rainbow, 1914). Main (1985) later placed Dyarcyops fuscipes in synonymy with Misgolas rapax.
Misgolas montanus (Rainbow & Pulleine, 1918) was first considered to be a valid species by Wishart & Rowell (2008), and agreed upon by Wishart (2011).
