Ecological Descriptors

Adult: inquiline (host(s): Rhytidoponera sp. [FORMICIDAE]), predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 2.2-2.5 mm. Head and pronotum rugosely punctate. Head rectangular; antennomeres IX-X transverse, subequal in size. Pronotal disc with median longitudinal sulcus faint, not continuing posteriorly beyond antebasal sulcus; lateral longitudinal sulci distinct; prosternum with small median tubercle. Elytra with 2-3 basal foveae, outer two close, fused to form a single fovea on some specimens; discal stria present, extending to elytral midpoint; lacking marginal stria posterior to subhumeral foveae. Visible tergites 1-2 (IV-V) with median carina in basal halves. Profemora with flattened rugose zone on anteroventral face narrow; all tibiae with slightly flared angulations at apices. Male eyes with about 40 facets; metasternum slightly and broadly tumid laterally; mesotrochanters carinate on ventral margins; metatrochanters with posterior margins simple. Female eyes with about 35 facets.
