Introduction

This is the most common and widespread species of the genus. It has been recorded from inland New South Wales as well as coastal regions from Sydney to Cape York Peninsula in North Queensland. An examination of the genitalia across this wide distribution will determine if there is only one species represented across the range. Its dark brown forewings with distinctive pale markings differentiates it from other described species.
