Species Anystis baccarum (Linnaeus, 1758)

Introduction

Laurin & Bostanian (2007) proposed that Anystis agilis (Banks, 1894) is a synonym of Anystis baccarum (Linnaeus, 1758), without providing any formal taxonomic analysis. A large amount of literature on this species from North America will be found under the name A. agilis, while authors from other parts of the world have largely used the name A. baccarum.
