Species Anthochaera (Xanthomyza) phrygia (Shaw, 1794)

Introduction

Driskell & Christidis (2004) found Xanthomyza phrygia to be nested within Acthochaera and noted behavioural and vocal similarities between the two genera previously observed. This arrangement was followed by Higgins et al. (2008), Christidis & Boles (2008) and subsequent authors.
