GENERAL

Description and illustration by Lambdin, P.L. 1987. Cerococcus mirandae (Homoptera: Coccoidea: Cerococcidae) a new species of scale insect from Australia. Annals of the Entomological Society of America 80: 100–102.

SYSTEMATICS

Cerococcus mirandae is similar to C. froggatti, but is easily separated from the latter by the absence of leg stubs and the presence of 6-locular pores in transverse abdominal rows (see Lambdin, P.L. 1987. Cerococcus mirandae (Homoptera: Coccoidea: Cerococcidae) a new species of scale insect from Australia. Annals of the Entomological Society of America 80: 100–102).
