Introduction
While often treated as a synonym of A. polygrammicus, we follow Hedges et al. (2014), Pyron and Wallach (2014) and the Australian Society of Herpetologists (2022) in recognising Anilios torresianus for the Australo-Papuan populations, with A. polygrammicus restricted to Indonesia.
