Holotype BMNH 1962953, 92 m, off Three Kings Islands, New Zealand (Discovery Station 934. - Anatoma herberti Geiger, D. & Sasaki, T. 2008. Four new species of Anatomidae (Mollusca: Vetigastropoda) from the Indian Ocean (Reunion, Mayotte) and Australia, with notes on a novel radular type for the family. Zoosymposia 1: 247–264 [249-252, figs. 1, 2].
