- Anaphothrips exocarpoides Mound, L.A. & Matsumoto, M 2009. Australian Thripinae of the Anaphothrips genus-group (Thysanoptera), with three new genera and thirty-three new species. Zootaxa 2042: 1-76 [35].
Type data:
Holotype ANIC female macroptera (from Exocarpos cupressiformis leaves), Australian Capital Territory, Black Mountain.
Paratype(s) 7 females, taken with holotype; 11 females, same locality as holotype, different date; 6 females, NSW, 20km east of Araluen [erroneously given as ACT]; 7 females, New South Wales, Orange, Mt Canobolas; 2 females, Victoria, Healesville; 1 female, Vic, 20km west of Mallacoota; 5 females, South Australia, Adelaide, Crafers; 1 female, South Australia, Whyalla, Middleback; 2 females (from flowers? of Exocarpus aphylla), South Australia, Blanchtown 5km west; 4 females (from Exocarpos leaves), Queensland, Brisbane, Mt Glorious.
