Diagnosis
Globular-stalked sponges with conulose surface, lacking porocalices. Small scattered oscules. Skeleton of the main body radiate, consisting of oxeas and normal triaenes, and that of the stalk longitudinally arranged, consisting of all megascleres including amphiclad triaenes. Cortical region present in stalk and main body. Megascleres oxeas, protriaenes, anatriaenes, plagiotriaenes and long-shafted amphiclad triaenes. Microscleres sigmaspires. Two species, both from Australian waters.
