Diagnosis

Small size, 35-42 mm. Setae lumbricine (i.e. eight per segment). Dorsal pores present throughout. Male pores on 18 combined with pores of tubular prostates. Gizzard in 5; extramural calciferous glands absent; typhlosole absent. Nephridia vesiculate holoic (i.e. one pair per segment with terminal dilations of the ducts forming large bladders); nephropores in series on each side near c setal lines. Polythecate: monodiverticulate spermathecae, sometimes vestigial, duplicated on each side to give two (or three) at each locus.
