Diagnosis

Trunk ovoid, segmented, often with dorsomedian tubercles or tall posterolateral ridges; lateral processes short, separated by about half their diameters. Proboscis usually widest at base, tapering to narrower lips. Chelifores with 1-segmented scape, chelae atrophied, or functional or lacking, or chelifores lacking entirely; palps 6-9 segments; ovigers 10-segmented; legs short to long. Propodi sometimes differ from anterior to posterior legs, mostly with auxiliaries. Cement gland dorsally distally or midpoint.
