Ecological Descriptors

Larva: arboreal, herbivore (associated flora: Ryssopterys timoriensis (DC.) A.Juss. [MALPIGHIACEAE]).

Closed forest, coastal, tropical, volant.

Extra Ecological Information

Eggs laid singly on upper surface of leaves of food plant, larva builds distinctive silk-lined shelters in leaves of food plant, pupa in last larval shelter, adult flies rapidly in depauperate rainforest, recorded most months of the year.
