Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic.

Extra Ecological Information

Adult female day-biting and attacks humans and rabbits; minor role as vector of myxomatosis; larva found mostly in roadside excavations or ditches and in a waterhole in a watercourse, all with some emergent vegetation present.
