Adult day-biting and attracted to cattle, pigs, humans, dogs, sheep and kangaroos; isolation of Mapputta virus from specimens collected at Charleville, QLD; larva found in rock pools, clear fresh rainwater in an earthern roadside drain, muddy water in slit trench, scour pools in sandy creek beds and turbid freshwater pools.
