Extra Ecological Information

Adult readily bites humans, rabbits and birds; larva found in ground pools of different sizes, clean, shallow roadside ditches and grassy, peaty and tea-tree swamps with breeding places found in sparse woodland, tea-tree scrub, moorland and sedgeland country.
