Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic.

Extra Ecological Information

Adult a fierce nocturnal biter and readily attacks humans and domestic animals; ground pool breeder found in marshy ground, mangroves, among nipa palms, in pig wallows and grass grown pools in swamps; larva found in flooded sago forest and rain-filled pools.
