Adult day-biting and common near larval habitats; only species where the fungal pathogen Culicinomyces has been recovered from field collections; minor local pest near larval habitats; possible vector of myxomatosis; larva found in rock pools in eucalypt forest creeklines and ground pools with decomposing leaves and vegetation.
