Ecological Descriptors

Adults: low intertidal, subtidal.

Taxonomic Notes

Whitelegge (1889) lists an Achelia laevis, var. australiensis Miers, 1884. Stock (1954) makes this variety into a separate species:Achelia australiensis.

Fry and Hedgpeth (1969) placed this species into their subgenus Ignavogriphus.
