Introduction

Womersley (1954a, 1954b) described the larva and nymph of Audyana thompsoni from Malaya. Welbourn (1983) incorrectly recorded this species from Australia, and Halliday (1998) repeated this error. The family Audyanidae and the genus Audyana are known only from Malaya (Mąkol & Wohltmann, 2012). The correct taxonomic placement of the monotypic genus Audyana is unknown, but it is provisionally placed in its own monotypic family (Walter et al., 2009; Felska et al., 2018)
