Family ADAMYSTIDAE Cunliffe, 1957
Introduction
Adamystidae is a cosmpolitan family of 20 species in two genera. They are described as reddish in colour, medium-sized and fast moving species that are mostly found in soil and leaf litter and under rocks, but some species are arboreal. They are believed to predatory, but some species may be microphages. The systematics and biology of the family were reviewed by Fuangarworn & Lekprayoon (2010). The family is known from Australia only from a report of an unidentified species of Adamystidae by Walter & O'Dowd (1995) and Majer et al. (2013), and an unidentified species of Adamystis illustrated by Walter et al. (2009).
