Introduction

Gastrocopta larapinta is a relatively scarce Red Centre species with isolated records in Queensland and northwestern Australia. It is distinguished from the very similar G. mussoni by the presence of a well developed interpalatal lamella.

Diagnosis

Shell very small, translucent white, ovately pupiform, smooth; aperture ovate to subquadrate with five to nine barriers: a sinuous parieto-angular, a horizontal to slightly ascending columellar; straight upper and lower palatal lamellae, a shorter interpalatal lamella; occasionally with weak basal and infraparietal denticles; height to 2.7 mm.
