- Cecidomyia (Cecidomyia) difficilis Skuse, F.A.A. 1888. Diptera of Australia. Part I. Proceedings of the Linnean Society of New South Wales 2 3(1): 17-145, PLs. II-III [63] [nomen dubium; Type specimen with missing parts. This species belongs to Dasineura but lacks distinctive morphological traits to separate it from congeneric females.
