Neotropical Region

Diagnosis

Head with prominent narrow frontal rostrum; vertexal foveae present, with single frontal fovea; with 11 antennomeres, clubs formed by apical two antennomeres, intermediate antennomeres transverse and often closely appressed. Pronotum with large median antebasal impression, lateral antebasal foveae smaller. Elytra with small subhumeral foveae, marginal carinae extending from subhumeral foveae to elytral apices. Abdomen with deep setose impressions at base of visible tergites 1-4 (IV-VII).
