Genus Cheiroseius Berlese, 1916

 

Introduction

Some of the literature about species in this genus this can be found under the genus name Sejus Koch. This is based on early confusion about the type species of Sejus. See Lindquist & Evans (1965) for more details.

Unidentified species of Cheiroseius were recorded from Australia by Kitching & Callaghan (1982), Kitching & Pimm (1985), Harvey et al. (1993), Fashing (1998), Proctor et al. (2011), Manwaring et al. (2015, 2018) and Walter & Stirling (2018). Halliday et al (1998) reported the presence of at least six unidentified species in Australia.
