Species Neoseiulus longispinosus (Evans, 1952)

Introduction

It is not clear whether this species occurs in Australia. Neoseiulus longispinosus (Evans, 1952) is sometimes considered to be a senior synonym of Neoseiulus womersleyi (Schicha, 1975), for example by Collyer (1982), but other authors consider these to be two separate species (Schicha 1975; Tseng 1983; de Moraes et al. 2004). Beard (2001) listed N. longispinosus and N. womersleyi as separate species, and recorded N. longispinosus as only possibly present in Australia.
