Introduction
Prolesophanta occlusa is the smallest rhytidid in eastern Australia and is distinguished among family sympaters by the lack of an umbilicus. It is a comparatively rare species based on existing records and is a scavenging carnivore, apparently feeding on dead invertebrates.

Diagnosis
Shell minute, pale and glassy with dark reddish-brown radial streaks, discoidal, last whorl large and flared; protoconch smooth, teleoconch sculpture of pronounced, low, broad radial ridges; umbilicus absent; diameter 2.5mm.
