Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 1.9-2.1 mm. Body with setae appressed, 0.04 mm long on elytral disc. Head densely punctate. Anterior portion of pronotum with punctures less distinct, small and indistinct over rest of body. Elytra with thickened setae on posterior portion of flanks, with small tufts of long setae at posteroapical angles. Visible tergite 1 (IV) with line of long thickened setae on anterior and posterior margins of basolateral incision; 2 (V) one-third length of 1 (IV). Male eyes with about 70 facets; with deep transverse excavation on vertex, anterior face of impression with transverse setose fovea at middle, posterior margin incised by blunt median tubercle to give bilobed appearance, faint vertexal foveae at lateral margins. Female eyes with about 40 facets.
