Introduction

This New Guinean species was tentatively recorded from the wet tropics of North Queensland by Knight & Webb (1986) on the basis of a single female showing the distinctive colour features of the species, particularly dark brown spines on the hind tibia. A male is needed to confirm the Australian record, however.
