Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator (host(s): Iridomyrmex glaber (Mayr, 1862) [FORMICIDAE]), terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 2.1-2.2 mm. Body with dense decumbent setae; finely and indistinctly punctate. Head with vertex flat, with sharply impressed vertexal foveae; occipital margin notched at middle of carinate base. Pronotum with median longitudinal sulcus present through length. Elytra with 3 basal foveae. Male eyes with about 55 facets; vertex transversely excavate, excavation sharply defined and deepest anteriorly, with pair of short spines between vertexal foveae. Female eyes with about 40 facets.
