Introduction

From Edwards (1996): Zalissa Walker, 1865 was included in the Agaristinae by Nye (1975) and Kiriakoff (1977). Nye included the genera Metaxanthiella Collins, 1962 and Lencogonia Hampson, 1908 in the Acronyetinae while Kiriakoff omitted them from the Agaristinae. Metaxanthielia Collins is very closely related to Zalissa Walker and Leucogonia Hampson is also related to these genera.
