Ecological Descriptors

Adult: predator, terrestrial.

 

Diagnosis

Length 0.9-1.0 mm. Body orange-brown. Antennal clubs formed by apical two antennomeres. Pronotum with lateral margins at middle half slightly convexly bowed, nearly parallel; pronotal disc convex. Elytra with discal stria faint in apical half. Abdomen with visible tergite 1 (IV) slightly longer than 2 (V). Male eyes with about 50 facets; thin transverse sulcus connecting vertexal foveae, vertex with elongate triangular impression extending from near vertexal foveae to between antennal insertions, with median longitudinal ridge extending through most of impression; antennomeres IV nearly twice as wide as antennomeres III and broadly expanded laterally. Mesotibiae with large apical spur on mesal margins; metatrochanters angulate at base on ventral margins. Female eyes with about 30 facets; V-shaped vertexal sulcus; fifth visible sternite (VII) with blunt apical tubercle.
