Type data: syntypes whereabouts unknown *; Boisduval in the original description mentioned several localities and so had several specimens; Yata, O. 1992. A revision of the Old World species of the genus Eurema Hübner (Lepidoptera, Pieridae) Part III. Description of the sari group (part). Bull. Kitakyushu Mus. Nat. Hist. 11: 1–77 pls 1–30 [31] (could not locate a type); Parsons, M.J. 1998. The Butterflies of Papua New Guinea; their systematics and biology. San Diego : Academic Press 736 pp. [282] (incorrectly referred to a holotype); Edwards, E.D., Newland, J. & Regan, L. 2001. Lepidoptera: Hesperioidea, Papilionoidea. In Wells, A. & Houston, W.W.K. Zoological Catalogue of Australia. Vol. 31.6. Melbourne : CSIRO Publishing, Australia. x 615 pp. (Parsons' (1998) incorrect reference to a holotype is not accepted as a lectotype designation as he knew of no specimen).
Type locality: New Guinea (in original description), see Yata, O. 1992. A revision of the Old World species of the genus Eurema Hübner (Lepidoptera, Pieridae) Part III. Description of the sari group (part). Bull. Kitakyushu Mus. Nat. Hist. 11: 1–77 pls 1–30 [31] (unjustifiably recorded the type locality as Dutch New Guinea).
