Diagnosis

Carapace usually small and smooth. Inner lamellae irregular, as well as line of concrescence which is traversed with irregular pore canals. Right valve overlaps left one. Antennula very robust, segments 4 and 5 fused; all setae in female and most setae in male short; male with pair of longer setae on each of podomeres 6 and 7. Swimming setae on antenna reduced. Caudal ramus without distal seta. Hemipenis oblong in outline, bluntly terminated distally.
