Etymology: "in honour of Brendan John Lepschi (1969-), a respected colleague who has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the sclerophyllous Australian flora, and who follows the practice instituted by the late R.D. Hoogland in collecting good material of interesting species in ample sets, which practice regrettably is neither appreciated nor followed by many of Lepschi's contemporaries." -
