WoRMS site notes that Pitar japonica Kuroda & Kawamoto in Kawamoto & Tanabe, 1956 is a junior homonym of Pitar japonica Ando, 1953, thus Invalid; Pitar kurodai is a replacement name.
Pitar japonicum has incorrect gender ending.
