Ecological Descriptors

Adult: volant.

Larva: aquatic.

Extra Ecological Information

Adult collected in chicken-baited traps; type specimens bred from pupae found in a shallow rock pool containing a large quantity of decaying vegetable matter; larvae found in rain-filled pools in jungle, grassy depressions, temporary water surfaces and a hole used as a urinal.
