Subtribe Tyrina Reitter, 1882

Introduction

Sixty genera are placed in the Tyrina, and this subtribe is present on all continents (Chandler 2001: 414).

 

Diagnosis

Maxillary palpi with third segments elongate, usually half as long as the fourth segments or longer; fourth segments elongate. Metasternal apex usually wide between metacoxae and broadly emarginate or truncate, rarely with an apical notch
