Introduction

Nesopua hackerae is distinguished from N. scotti by the smaller size, greater number of barriers and more tapered shell. N. novopommerana has a taller shell but fewer, more-developed barriers.

Diagnosis

Shell minute, pale yellow, dextral, turbinate; shell surface granular and wrinkled with occasional weak oblique radial growth threads; aperture sub-quadrate with eight prominent denticles: a horizontal columellar, separate parietal and angular, a smaller infraparietal and four palatals consisting of large upper and lower palatals, a smaller interpalatal and a small suprapalatal located close to the lip edge; height 1.5 mm.
