Ecological Descriptors

Adult: volant.

Larva: tree hole.

Extra Ecological Information

Inhabits inland areas with lightly timbered or scrubby vegetation, adult female bites humans and sheep, found resting in a rabbit warren, adults caught in sweep net and light traps; larva found in a hole in rosewood (Heterodendron oleifolium [Sapindaceae]) tree.
