Diagnosis

Head with low, knobbed antennal tubercles; with V-shaped vertexal sulcus; venter lacking apicolateral genal tubercles. Pronotum with distinct antebasal sulcus connecting lateral and median antebasal foveae, disc with median sulcus typically distinct (rarely faint); lateral longitudinal sulci often as distinct as median sulcus; prosternum usually convexly rounded, rarely carinate. Elytra with four basal foveae, with elongate discal stria. Promesocoxal foveae present; single median mesosternal fovea; with simple lateral mesosternal foveae. Visible tergites 1-4 (IV-VII) subequal in length.
