• Uber Humphreys, 1797 [not available: published in a work placed on the Official Index. Under Art. 11.5.2, not available from Gray (1847: 149), who cited "Uber, sp. Humph. 1797" in the synonymy of Polinices, but did not use it as a valid name].

  Type species:

   Nerita mammilla Linnaeus, 1758 by original designation.

Polinice Rang, 1829 [Manuel de l'histoire naturelle des mollusques: 190-191] is also listed in Nomenclator Zoologicus, but examination of Rang's work shows that he was using Montfort's French vernacular Polinice].

   Polinices albus Montfort, 1810 by original designation.
