Subfamily Nomiodinae

Introduction

Ceylalictus was formerly placed in the subfamily Halictinae partly because of the curved basal vein of the forewing, but it differs from Halictinae in the unbroken prepygidial fimbria of the female as well as other characters noted in Michener (2000).
