Subspecies Gelochelidon nilotica macrotarsa (Gould, 1837)

 

Introduction

G. n. macrotarsa may warrant treatment as a separate species to G. nilotica (see Rogers et al. 2005), however we retain it as a subspecies of the latter until further study can more completely determine relationships

Widespread in Australia but most common in the north
