Introduction
Weir et al. (2023) reviewed the occurrence of Hypolimnas anomala (Wallace, 1869) in northern Australia and discovered that two subspecies have in fact been recorded from the Top End of the Northern Territory: H. anomala albula (Wallace, 1869) and nominate H. anomala anomala (Wallace, 1869), which was newly recorded for Australia based on a single specimen (1♂) collected from East Point, Darwin on 10 February 1987 by Grant Miller. Both subspecies are believed to represent vagrants.
