Introduction
Ranula is an alternative original spelling used p. 77 Schumacher 1817. "Ranularia Fischer, 1884, non Schumacher, 1817" is listed as a seperate entry in Neave, 1940, Nomenclator Zoologicus, 4: 12, but P. Fischer, 1884, Manuel de conchyliologie et de paléontologie conchyliologique, (7): 655, explicitly attributed Ranularia to Schumacher.
