Spongillidae with small encrusting growth form. Choanosomal skeleton anisotropic, paucispicular. Megascleres oxeas. Microscleres absent. Gemmuloscleres birotules. Gemmules scattered. Gemmular theca tri-layered. Pneumatic layers of compact spongin trabecules, with no chambers.
